Park City Surfer

Materials

  • • Upper: 1.4mm premium suede cowhide
  • • Canvas: 280gsm cotton canvas
  • • Sole: Natural rubber compound
  • • Laces: cotton

Initial Treatment

Before wearing your new Park City Surfers for the first time, we recommend applying a premium suede protector spray. This creates an invisible barrier against water, stains, and dirt.

  1. 1. Clean the shoes with a suede brush to remove any surface dust
  2. 2. Hold the protector spray 6-8 inches away from the shoes
  3. 3. Apply a light, even coat over the entire suede surface
  4. 4. Allow to dry completely for at least 24 hours
  5. 5. Apply a second coat for maximum protection

Regular Maintenance

Suede Care

  • • Brush suede regularly with a dedicated suede brush to maintain nap
  • • Brush in one direction to avoid damaging the suede fibers
  • • For stubborn dirt, use a suede eraser before brushing
  • • Reapply protector spray every 3-4 months or after cleaning

Canvas Care

  • • Spot clean canvas with a mild soap and damp cloth
  • • Do not saturate the canvas with water
  • • Allow to air dry naturally, away from direct heat

Sole Care

  • • Wipe rubber soles clean with a damp cloth
  • • Use a soft brush to remove dirt from the sole edges
  • • Allow to dry completely before wearing

Handling Stains & Water Damage

Water Spots

  1. 1. Allow the shoes to dry completely at room temperature
  2. 2. Never use direct heat to dry suede
  3. 3. Once dry, gently brush with a suede brush
  4. 4. For stubborn water marks, use a specialized suede cleaner

Oil & Grease

  1. 1. Blot (don't rub) excess oil immediately with a clean cloth
  2. 2. Apply cornstarch or talcum powder to absorb remaining oil
  3. 3. Let sit for 4-6 hours or overnight
  4. 4. Brush away powder with a suede brush
  5. 5. Repeat if necessary

Storage Recommendations

  • • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • • Use shoe trees to maintain shape (cedar preferred to absorb moisture)
  • • Do not store in plastic bags, which can trap moisture
  • • If storing long-term, clean thoroughly and apply protector spray before storage
  • • Check periodically for signs of mold or mildew, especially in humid environments
